3 Coffee Recipes to Cosy Up | Monsoon Special Brews

Something's Brewing

There is a special kind of magic in savouring a steaming cup of coffee as the raindrops tap on your windowpane. To make these monsoon moments all the more indulgent, we have three amazing yet easy-to-prepare recipes. From adding your own twists on classic coffee recipes to some new ones, each recipe is created to complement the cosy monsoon ambience. 1. French Vanilla Cappuccino With its perfect blend of coffee, frothy milk and sweet vanilla, the French Vanilla Cappuccino is a treat for your senses. It makes the perfect drink for a cosy, flavourful coffee experience. Ingredients:     1 cup of freshly brewed coffee or 1 shot of espresso     1/2 cup of milk of your choice     1 tablespoon of French vanilla syrup     Whipped cream (optional)     Vanilla bean or ground cinnamon for garnish (optional) How to Make It:     Brew coffee: Brew a cup of black coffee or pull a shot of espresso.     Prepare the milk: Heat and froth the milk using your espresso machine's steam wand, or heat it in a saucepan over medium heat until hot but not boiling, then froth it with a milk frother to create a good amount of foam.     Mix coffee and syrup: In a large mug, add the French Vanilla syrup to the brewed coffee (or espresso) and stir well.     Add milk: Pour the frothed milk over the coffee mixture, holding back the foam. Then gently pour the foam over the drink.     Garnish and serve: Add whipped cream if desired, or sprinkle some ground cinnamon or a piece of vanilla bean for a decorative touch. If you like trying different flavours, swap the French Vanilla syrup for any flavour you prefer. 2. Cinnamon Latte Savour the warmth of a Cinnamon Latte this monsoon. The blend of a warm latte with a hint of cinnamon spice makes it a comforting, delightful treat. Ingredients:     1 shot of espresso or 1/2 cup of freshly brewed coffee     1 cup of milk of your choice     1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon     1 tablespoon honey or sugar (optional)     Whipped cream (optional)     Extra cinnamon for garnish How to Make It:     Brew coffee: Brew a cup of black coffee or pull a shot of espresso.     Prepare the milk: Heat and froth the milk using your espresso machine's steam wand, or heat it in a saucepan over medium heat until hot but not boiling, then froth with a milk frother.     Add cinnamon: Stir the ground cinnamon and honey (or sugar) into the hot milk until fully combined.     Add milk: Pour the frothed milk over the coffee mixture, holding back the foam, then gently pour the foam over the drink.     Garnish and serve: Sprinkle a little ground cinnamon and add a cinnamon stick for an extra burst of flavour. Adjust the sweetness and cinnamon to your taste. This works as a comforting treat any time of day. 3. Cold Brew with Ginger Ale Are you one of those cold coffee lovers who like to sip on icy beverages even during the monsoon? This Cold Brew with Ginger Ale recipe is for you. Ingredients:     1 cup of cold brew     1/2 cup of ginger ale (adjust to taste)     Ice cubes     Honey (optional)     Lemon or lime wedge (optional) How to Make It:     Prepare cold brew: Start with 1 cup of cold brew coffee. You can use a store-bought version or make your own using a Hario Mizudashi cold brew pot.     Mix with ginger ale: In a tall glass filled with ice cubes, pour the cold brew, then add ginger ale to taste. Stir gently to combine.     Sweeten: If you prefer a sweeter drink, add honey or sugar and stir until fully dissolved.     Garnish and serve: Add a wedge of lemon or lime for a citrusy twist, or garnish with a slice of fresh ginger for extra flavour. This beverage combines the smooth, bold flavours of cold brew coffee with the refreshing, spicy kick of ginger ale, so you can enjoy your cold coffee with a bit of warmth from the spice. Your Monsoon Coffee Ritual  With these three delightful coffee recipes, you can enjoy the monsoon season with a new level of cosiness. From the aromatic Cinnamon Latte to the chilled Cold Brew with Ginger Ale, each sip is a journey through comforting flavours. Make these rainy days better with these brews, and indulge in the moments of monsoon as you please.
