Cleaning:The cone burr is easily removable with no tools, making cleaning very easy.
Low Retention Grinder:A grinder with minimal retention will help you marginally reduce waste by reducing the need for a purge.
Programmability:On the 30, you set one grind time in hundredth of second intervals up to ten seconds and then a tenth of second increments for times over ten seconds.
Portafilter Accommodation: Sette 30 accommodates portafilter and grinds bin. The plastic support forks are adjusted by pulling them out and re-inserting.
Dimensions:The Sette 30 is designed with a small footprint and fits under standard kitchen cabinets.
Digital Control Panel:TheSette 30 has a simple front-mounted control panel with easy to read backlit LED display. The user manually presets the grind time to within 0.1 seconds. Simply press the start button and the Sette automatically delivers precise dosing.

HOW TO USE
How to setup:
Open the box, you will find a setup manual which is very handy for reference.
Remove bean hopper and lid from the plastic cover and remove the protective plastic film from the lid.
Wash the hopper, lid and the removable grounds bin in warm water and air dry them completely.
On top of the grinder, there will be a silica gel packet kindly discard the same.
Place the hopper on top of the grinder and turn it clockwise.
Plug the grinder in.
How to Calibrate:
The Baratza Encore has around 31 grind settings that you can calibrate, with 31 being the coarsest.
We would suggest to take around 100gms of beans and grind just a few at a time at different sizes. This will season the burrs inside and also help you calibrate at the same time. The espresso grind setting in generally around 9.
Starting with a Brew Ratio of 16g of ground coffee to 32-38g of extraction in 18-24 seconds, pull a shot of Espresso.
If the shot is finishing too quickly, adjust the grinder to a finer grind size. If the shot is taking too long to finish, adjust the grinder to a coarser grind size. Pull the shot following the same parameters. Taste the Espresso shot.
If the Espresso shot tastes under extracted, i.e., overpowering acidity (sourness) and astringency, the grind size is too coarse and the flow rate is high. Adjust the grinder to a finer grind size and pull an Espresso shot. Taste the shot.
If the Espresso shot tastes over extracted, i.e., ashy, smoky flavour that goes hand in hand with a lack of any lingering finish of the espresso in the mouth, the grind size is too fine and flow rate is slow. Adjust the grinder to a coarser setting and pull an Espresso Shot. Taste the shot.
If there is a balance between the acidity, sweetness, bitterness and complexity, your Espresso is dialled in and you can continue to use these parameters.
How to Clean:
On a daily basis, make sure to not leave any coffee in the hopper.
Clean the hopper and ground bin with a cloth post use.
You can even remove the burr set by moving the adjustments fully to the left and it will just pop out in your hand.
In order to make sure that your grinder is not clogging or doesn’t have oil build-up overtime. Use products like Grindz by Urnex to deep clean your burrs from inside.
