Filter coffee powder will actually work for your face!

Can’t survive without your morning coffee fix? Well, neither can we! But are you aware of the fact that besides kick-starting your energy levels and charging you up for the day, coffee can work wonders for your skin?
We’re not saying this because we are admitted coffee junkies ourselves. Research has shown that compounds in coffee have the power to smoothen, protect and enhance the skin. Not only that, but it can also improve circulation and give you a glowing face.
A very popular coffee by-product called the filter coffee powder can make an excellent exfoliator for your face. It is super-effective at sloughing away dead skin cells and tightening the skin. Filter coffee powder can also be used to gently exfoliate sensitive areas like chapped lips.
You can easily get rid of dark circles under your eyes with filter coffee powder. The caffeine present inside it not only boosts circulation but also works to tighten skin. Filter coffee powder is also effective in reducing pesky under-eye bags and puffy eyes, bringing your glow back and making you look fresh and ready throughout the day.
You know you can be beautiful at any age, but that doesn’t mean you have to sit back and welcome all the visible signs of aging like fine lines, sun spots and redness. Amazingly, filter coffee powder is linked to reducing the effects of aging. A facial filter coffee scrub can blur out fine lines, promote tightness and stimulate circulation.
Similar to how filter coffee instantly wakes you up and brightens your mood, it has the same effect on your face. When applied as a facial scrub or mask, it can stimulate your skin cells and increase blood flow, which will help even out skin tone and boost your glow.
Here’s a DIY facial filter coffee powder scrub that you should definitely try:
- ½ cup filter coffee powder
- ¼ cup bentonite clay powder
- 2 tbs grapeseed oil
- 1 tbs coconut oil
Combine filter coffee and bentonite clay powder until thoroughly mixed. Then, add coconut and grapeseed oil, and stir until they are blended completely. This will form a paste-like texture. It can also be used as a face mask.
To use your coffee face scrub, apply a thick layer all over your face and gently rub to exfoliate. Leave it for 5-10 minutes and rinse it off to see the magic.
Now let's get down to using this authentic scrub and reaping its benefits!
