Cold Brew System | Toddy

The Toddy Cold Brew System is the original home model that launched the cold brew category in 1964. Designed by chemical engineer Todd Simpson, this non-electric system uses a unique cold-water extraction process to produce a rich, liquid coffee concentrate with 67% less acid than traditionally hot-brewed coffee.

The kit includes a BPA-free brewing container, two reusable felt filters, and a glass decanter with a lid. By steeping coarse grounds for 12 to 24 hours, the Toddy system extracts the bean's natural sweetness while leaving behind the bitter oils and biting fatty acids. The resulting concentrate is exceptionally versatile, serving as a base for iced lattes, blended frozen drinks, or even hot coffee when diluted with steaming water.

Insert the reusable felt filter into the Toddy Brewing Container and wet it with water.
Add coarsely ground coffee and cold water to the brewing container.
Stir the mixture gently to ensure the grounds are well mixed with water.
Allow the coffee to steep for 18 to 24 hours at room temperature.
Place the Toddy Brewing Container on top of the glass decanter.
Remove the rubber stopper to let the cold brew concentrate flow into the decanter.
Serve with ice or any way you like.
The concentrated cold brew can be stored in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
