The Urnex Cleaning Kit Combo -2 for Fully Automatic Espresso Machines, without brush, bundles the core cleaning products needed to keep a bean-to-cup or fully automatic machine running well, aimed at buyers who already own a suitable brush or simply do not need another one in their kit. Fully automatic machines combine a grinder, brewing unit, and milk system into a single sealed appliance, which means residue and mineral buildup inside are harder to spot and address than on a manual espresso machine, making a dedicated, regular cleaning routine genuinely important rather than optional.
A typical Urnex combo for fully automatic machines pairs a descaling product to clear mineral buildup from internal boilers and water lines with a cleaning solution or tablets designed to break down coffee oils and residue from the brew group, since both scale and oil buildup affect flavour and machine longevity in different ways and neither is fully addressed by the other alone. Regular use of both, on the schedule your machine's manual recommends based on your water hardness and usage frequency, keeps extraction consistent and helps prevent the gradual flavour drift that untreated buildup causes over months of daily use.
Urnex was established in 1936 and has built a global reputation with a singular focus on beverage equipment care, combining decades of manufacturing expertise with close relationships across the coffee industry worldwide. The brand's science-led approach draws on in-house chemists, product technicians, and coffee professionals working together, and Urnex products are now used in over 70 countries, reflecting a long-standing trust among both commercial and home espresso machine owners.
If your machine's manual doesn't specify exact intervals, running the cleaning cycle after every 200 to 300 shots and descaling on a schedule matched to your local water hardness is a reasonable general starting point for most fully automatic machines.
