Budan Bottomless Portafilter is great for improving your barista skills. It is designed to fit a basket of 58mm diameter and is compatible with all E61 group machines. Being a Bottomless portafilter, there is no limit to the size of the basket, upgrading your brewing experience. The handle is ergonomically shaped and fits comfortably in the hand. The filter basket has laser-cut holes which are very fine and even. Ideal for brewing a triplo- triple shot.

What is a bottomless portafilter for?
It removes the spouts so you can watch extraction from underneath. Uneven flow, spraying or jetting tells you the puck was badly distributed or tamped, which lets you correct your technique.
Will it fit my machine?
It fits E61 group machines using a standard 58mm basket. Check your machine's group size before ordering, as 51mm and 54mm machines will not take it.
Is it suitable for beginners?
It is one of the fastest ways to improve, though expect messy shots at first while you learn to distribute and tamp evenly.
Does it come with a basket?
It is designed for 58mm baskets and works with single, double and triple sizes.
Why do my shots spray everywhere?
That is channelling, and it is the portafilter doing its job by showing you. Work on even distribution and a level tamp before adjusting grind.
Is it harder to clean than a normal portafilter?
No, it is easier. With no spouts there are fewer places for coffee oils to collect.
