How long does coffee stay fresh in the Atmos?
Removing the oxygen slows staling considerably compared to a bag or a plain airtight jar. Beans hold their aroma and sweetness noticeably longer, though nothing replaces buying in quantities you will finish.
Do I need batteries or a separate pump?
No. The pump is built into the lid and works by hand. You twist the top a few times and the vacuum forms.
How do I know the seal is working?
The indicator window on the lid turns green when the vacuum is holding. If it clears, twist again to re seal.
Why does the seal loosen after a few days?
Freshly roasted beans give off carbon dioxide, which builds pressure inside and releases the vacuum. This is normal. Just pump it again.
Which size should I pick?
Choose 400ml for ground coffee or small quantities, 700ml for a standard bag of beans, and 1200ml if you buy in bulk or store more than one coffee at a time.
Can I put it in the dishwasher?
The lid holds the pump mechanism and gasket, so hand washing it is the safer approach. Rinse and dry the canister body rather than soaking it.
Can I store things other than coffee in it?
Yes. It works equally well for loose leaf tea, spices, nuts and dry goods that lose flavour or absorb smells over time.
