5 Coffee Recipes To Die For

Coffee holds a very special place in our hearts which is hard to replace. Understandably, standing in long cafe lines for our special cuppa can be less than ideal. We get you the secret barista-approved tips for your next tryst. The best part? You can whip them up in under 10 minutes! Let’s get started.

Cardamom Rose Latte

½ cup water

½ cup white sugar

3 tablespoons dried rose petals, or 1–2 teaspoons, rose water

1 teaspoon cardamom pods or ground cardamom

2 shots of espresso

1 cup milk

Add water and sugar in a small saucepan over medium heat. Stir until sugar has dissolved.

Let the syrup come to a simmer, add the rose petals and continue to simmer for 5 – 7 minutes.

Remove from heat and allow it to cool.

Brew your espresso shot or strong coffee.

Heat and froth your milk.

Add in ground cardamom and rose sharbat to taste, then your espresso shot and frothy milk. Top it off with a few dried rose petals for an Insta-ready cuppa!

Irish Coffee:

  • 1 shot whiskey
  • Maple syrup to taste
  • ¾ cup hot brewed coffee, or a double espresso
  • Whipped cream, optional

Pour the whiskey and 1 teaspoon maple syrup into a heat-safe mug. Pour in a splash of the coffee and stir with a spoon until the maple syrup dissolves into the coffee.

Top it with whipped cream which you need to add slowly so that it stays perfectly on the top!

Tip: To really experience an authentic Irish coffee, you want to use a rich, strong brew. Medium- to dark-blends works best.

Dalgona coffee:

* 2 tablespoon coffee powder

* 2 tablespoon sugar

* 2 tablespoon boiling water

* 2 cup cold milk

* 3-4 ice cubes

To prepare the top layer of this coffee, take a bowl and mix equal quantities of coffee powder, sugar and hot water. Using a whisk or hand blender, blend the mixture until it is light, frothy & creamy. This might take a while, so turn on a podcast. Add ice cubes in your mug or a glass. Pour cold milk over this and add this beaten and whipped coffee over it. Remember to place it gently, so it sets on top of the milk perfectly. Now serve it chilled and enjoy!

Affogato:

  • 3 shots espresso
  • 2 scoops vanilla bean ice cream
  • Dark chocolate (optional)

Place the ice cream into 2 dessert glasses or cups and. Pour espresso over it and serve hot! For an added treat, you could add a few pieces of dark chocolate and have a party!

Caramel Macchiato:

  • 300ml milk
  • 2 tbsp vanilla syrup
  • 2 espresso shots
  • Caramel sauce to drizzle

Froth up warm milk, and add vanilla syrup and milk to the cup. Pour the espresso over the frothy milk creating a "mark" on the foam. Have fun with it and can make a pattern using caramel sauce on the foam!
