Urnex Cafiza C26 Powder, 900g, is a professional-grade espresso machine cleaner used for cleaning shower screens, filter holders, filter baskets, and group heads, addressing the coffee oil and residue buildup that accumulates across every part of the brewing pathway with regular use. This larger 900g size suits cafes, offices, or serious home enthusiasts who backflush and clean frequently enough that a smaller container would need replacing too often for genuine convenience.
Cafiza is one of Urnex's most widely recognised products globally, used extensively in both commercial and home settings for its effectiveness at breaking down rancid coffee oils that plain water alone cannot fully clear. Regular cleaning with Cafiza across the shower screen, portafilter baskets, and group head addresses flavour degradation at every point where coffee oils naturally accumulate, rather than leaving gaps in your cleaning routine that a partial approach might miss.
Because different parts of an espresso machine accumulate residue at different rates depending on daily use, a comprehensive cleaning powder like Cafiza that covers the full brewing pathway, not just the group head alone, delivers more consistent flavour improvement than spot-cleaning a single component.
Urnex was established in 1936 and has built a global reputation with a singular focus on beverage equipment care, combining decades of manufacturing expertise with close relationships across the coffee industry worldwide, and Cafiza specifically has become something of an industry standard reference point for espresso machine cleaning powder.
Pick up Urnex Cafiza C26 Powder, 900g, at Something's Brewing to establish a genuinely thorough cleaning routine covering your entire brewing pathway, and build regular backflushing into your schedule based on how often you brew. Something's Brewing also stocks smaller Cafiza pack sizes, worth comparing if 900g is more than your typical cleaning frequency calls for. Something's Brewing's team can advise on backflushing frequency specific to your machine model and how often you brew if the general guidance here doesn't quite match your setup. A larger cleaning powder size like this also suits shared office or small cafe settings where multiple people are backflushing the same machine regularly. Cafiza's reputation as an industry-standard cleaning powder means it's a safe default choice even if you're unsure which specific product best matches your machine. Something's Brewing's team can advise on which specific Cafiza format, powder, tablets, or liquid, best suits your particular machine and cleaning routine.
