If you want to extend the shelf life of your coffee you need to understand what the enemies of your coffee are.
The three main enemies of your coffee are: Light,Temperature,Oxygen
Now when coffee comes in a bag like this it's protected from the light. It's protected from oxygen because it's sealed and if it's not in the back of your car it's protected from the temperature. But once it's open it's exposed to all the natural elements so how do you protect your coffee? Ideally, store it in a container that is airtight and that protects it from light.
But, if you want to get even geekier you can use one of these
Fellow Atmos vacuum canisters
Which protects it from the light which creates a vacuum by this constant rotation about 20 to 30 times. That will protect it from oxygen and if you don't keep it in the gas, it protects it from temperature. So, by this it extends the shelf life of your coffee by three to six months.
Now that your coffee lasts longer you can call me home and offer me a freshly brewed coffee beverage.
