Introducing our first seasonal coffee of the year! The tropical flavours in this coffee make it an exciting choice to start the year with. A sip of this coffee will leave you a long sweet aftertaste with hints of melon and guava as it cools down. If you’ve previously tried our coffee from Kalledevarapura Estate, you’ll love this medium roast’s flavours of fruity guava, rich manuka honey, and good old chocolate. This heavy bodied coffee with its sweet aromas of honey and tropical fruits is best enjoyed when brewed as an Espresso, Pour Over or in the French Press.
For this lot, ripe coffee cherries were hand-sorted and stored in sealed barrels for 48 hours, devoid of oxygen, for anaerobic fermentation, enhancing the green beans’ original fruity flavours. Post-fermentation, the cherries were laid out in the sun on raised drying beds, then shifted to a shaded facility for slow-drying.
Thogarihunkal Estate is located in India’s coffee heartland, Chikamagalur. This estate is managed by the Gowda brothers, Mallanna and Chenna Basave, whose family has been in the coffee business since 1857.
